Lately, I've had a number of people ask me where we are in the adoption process.
Jason, Zach, and I got fingerprinted in Atlanta the first week in August. Zach had to get printed because he would turn 18 during the adoption process. And now we wait to be approved by USCIS to adopt two children from China. Our paperwork cannot move forward and on to China until we have this approval.
Once we get that approval notice, we can get all of our adoption documents notarized, state sealed, mailed to Chinese Consulate & sealed there, then on to our agency for translation and then finally to China.
So, we are trying to wait patiently and praying that in the next couple weeks we will get this much anticipated USCIS approval.
We still need to earn/raise $14,599 to complete our adoptions (travel costs for Jason, Juley, Hudson & Evie). This includes airfare, hotels, food and in China fees. That is amazing since we started out the process needing to raise $42,000. God has truly blessed us on this journey. We definitely feel His love for our family.
Now, to go apply for more grants and work on a few more fundraisers...
